I won’t say that I have the swing of this no sugar thing. And you won’t EVER hear me say this is easy. But can I say that it’s a little easier than it was in the first week. There’s Halloween candy in my pantry (husband’s request), and I haven’t opened the bag to smell. And today at lunch I had peanut butter on my fingers after making Max’s sandwich, and I didn’t almost lick it off. Really. I used a napkin instead. So things are smoothing out. And hopefully I start sleeping again soon.
Here’s what my days have looked like. | Day 4 Trying HARD to ignore the sugar cravings. Made a smoothie with unsweetened coconut milk and almonds. | Day 5 She’s killing me with her tea party treats. #girlmom | Day 6 Nope. I won’t share my cheese stick snack. #mollydog | Day 7 I’ve been DYING for some peanut butter. Instead this #organic, #nosugar almond butter is satisfying that craving. #winning | Day 8 Yesterday I made mayonnaise without sugar. Today I’m meal planning around #mayo. #surprisinglyeasy | Day 9 #nosugar sometimes means dinner leftovers for breakfast. This was Tortilla Espanola from Paleo Lunches and Breakfasts on the Go, except I subbed cauliflower for potatoes. #sneakymom | Day 10 Following @chaoslovejess‘s recipe to make egg muffins for breakfast.
What have you been up to this week?

Wow. I can’t image no sugar, especially in the month of Halloween. Do you have a publix where you live? They sell homemade peanut butter with just peanuts so I don’t think it will have sugar. And I am sure there is a sugar free option.

It hasn’t been fun. But 12 Days in I’m starting to see a difference in the way I look and if I can get good sleep, then I feel the difference too. And it’s actually not just the sugar in peanut butter that makes it on my no list, but peanuts (and cashews) are both off limits for the month according to the 21 Day Sugar Detox that I’m following. But thanks for the suggestion!
