Anna Hartman blogs and changes lives at In The Next 30 Days, a personal challenge and self improvement blog. Hi there! My name is Anna. I’m a flip flop-loving, hot yoga-doing, local eating, super stay-at-home mom. I love all things beach, laughing until my sides hurt, and thunder storms. I live in Charleston, South Carolina, with my husband, Jason, and two kids. Julia is 5 (2009), and Maxwell is 3 (2011). In my free time, you can find me with my camera in hand photographing any and everything I can, and when I’m not free, I’m playing dress up or trains with my kids, freelance designing and writing, or learning to love running.

In The Next 30 Days is a personal challenge and self improvement blog dedicated to making me brighter shinier and happier. In The Next 30 Days is a personal challenge blog established to help me make my life brighter, shinier, and happier while making a positive difference in myself and the world around me. I challenge my health, abilities, imagination, or bliss in a different way every 30 Days. Then, I blog, write, and photograph my adventures in an honest way to share with you here. I hope that my successes, failures, challenges, and openness will inspire you to make a difference in your life, world, and habits. I really believe in inspiration through community.

You might have seen me around. In The Next 30 Days has been featured in Skirt! Magazine and on Life Pulp, and Pure of Faith.

You have such a cute idea for your blog & it is just an adorable blog. Keeping my blog has helped me stay on top of my memory keeping/photography/scrapbooking, but not as much as I’d like to be! I love the idea of a new focus every month, I’m excited to see how it goes!!

Anna, I love this idea! I happened to do a 30 day blogging challenge and a 30 day smoothie challenge and I found that I stuck to it, got so much done, and just loved it! I love challenges and I have a competitive nature, so I think it brings out the best in me. ANYWAY! I just think this is a FANTASTIC idea to base a blog around and I’m excited to poke around and find out more. :)

As a Gretchen Rubin fan I am excited to discover your blog! What a clever idea …lofty and sane at the same time – Wonderful! My first thought is I can do anything for 30 days…but are there any ideas you just can’t bring yourself to consider? I guess my question is which challenges are on the no list?

Great question, Mary. I do feel restricted by the public nature of a blog. There are some things I don’t really want to share publicly, too much about my family or private life, for example. And sometimes I am restricted by my capabilities, like last summer when I took on a backyard makeover and needed my husband’s muscle to help me do some of what I had envisioned. But other than that, I’m very open to any challenge that would lead to my own personal growth and improvement, even if it just makes me happier. And I LOVE when people suggest challenges. Do you have any awesome ideas? Feel free to share right here http://inthenext30days.net/past-challenges/

I got off track recently(pun unintentional) with my husband’s heart attack, my upper respiratory infection and asthma, and my mother’s heart attack. I am joining your challenge for 30 days 10,000 steps. I can usually do that but getting motivated has been slow in coming. Will start today. Thanks again. lol I will be 4 days behind but ill make that up at the end.

Thanks for reading Rebekah! I’m such a fan of the 30 Day format because of its accessibility and simplicity. I want to hear about your next challenge!
