Happy New Year! It’s a new day, new month, new year. And quite honestly anything is possible. What a wonderful thought! Our possibilities are endless.
I’m not one for elaborate resolutions. I kind of feel like each month is my opportunity to resolve something new and wonderful. So this January, I’m simply resolving to run. I registered for the Cooper River Bridge Run in April. It will be my very first 10K, and I’m looking forward to seeing spring start to bloom with my running shoes on.
But more than the idea of establishing a long resolution list, I love the idea of a clean start. And a whole new year is that opportunity. It’s a chance to fulfill all those cliches: wipe the slate clean, turn over a new leaf, start again, get a new lease on life. (Shall I go on?) So I’m taking this opportunity, and I’m starting a Body & Mind Cleanse. For the next 30 Days, I will work to clean my body from the inside out. I’m going to focus on clean foods that are good for me and help promote my over all health. And because I know that my body is only part of my overall health, I’m also going to focus on cleaning up my thoughts, my mind, my emotions. I want to get back to center, back to a central focus, and back to a positive point of view.
I will be starting 2013 shiny and renewed. And that feels like the very best resolution to make.

Thanks for following along, Ginger. It’s always something I’ve wanted to do, and now it’s nice to have an excuse. You know?
Sounds great and a perfect way to start the new year! I like how you’re not just focusing on food but on the mind too.

Thanks! I know that my brain needs as much of a fresh start as my body does. Happy New Year to you!
