We all know perfect bloggers. It’s like they live in some kind of alternate universe where kids pick up their toys and dinner is always, ALWAYS, Pinterest worthy. Personally, I prefer my bloggers more like Stephanie Totty from Froggy and The Mouse who is committed to being real, to telling it like it is, and doesn’t try to sugar-coat her life. She’s the mom of two boys. She has two dogs. She has a job and a life away from her blog, and she juggles it all with grace and a sense of humor. I love that about her, and it makes her site so readable and relatable.
Meet here right now. She’s the kind of girl you want to meet for drinks on a Friday night. And maybe Saturday night too.

What Is Your Blog About?
In two words? I blog about imperfect parenting. Mine is a space to vent, to whine, or to wonder. I try to capture the ‘real’ side of parenting, from the perspective of a full-time working mom with two crazy boys … which can sometimes be a good or bad thing, depending on how much coffee I had that morning.
What Makes Your Blog Different?
I try to keep things real on my blog. My home/family/life is not ‘Pinterest Perfect’ … and neither is my site. I sometimes lose my shit, I sometimes yell, and I ‘more than sometimes’ curse - because that’s my real life. I don’t believe readers need one more site that looks like the house was decorated by Martha Stewart and maintained by Mary Poppins.
Where Do You Blog?
At my kitchen table, surrounded by insane dogs, kids, and a huge cuppa coffee.
How Do You Take Your Coffee or Tea?
cream and sugar, thankyouverymuch.
The Most-Played Song in My iTunes is [FILL IN THE BLANK].
Well, I hate iTunes and only use Spotify, but the answer right now is: All the Pretty Girls by Fun.
I Couldn’t Live Without My [FILL IN THE BLANK].
iPhone. It’s an addiction.
Where Is Your Dream Vacay?
Right now, I’m hankerin’ for a week touring the National Parks in the Pacific Northwest. I need trees in my life.
Who is your Girl Crush?
Oh man, Emma Stone. I love her look. And ever since I saw her do the ‘Dirty Dancing scene’ with Ryan Gosling? I’ve been hooked.
What is Your Guilty Pleasure?
Nerdy stuff. World of Warcraft, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones … I am so into all that shitz.
If You Could Invite Anyone (Alive or Dead) To Dinner, Who Would It Be?
My grandfather. He died when I was 9 years old, but I remember him as one of the kindest, gentlest souls. I think he would really love knowing his grandsons.
What Is Your Favorite Part Of Your Body?
My neck. Is that weird? My mother told me once when I was little I had a “ballerina’s neck” and I think that stuck with me.
What Do You Want The World To Know About You?
I’ve been keeping a journal in one way or another since 1987 - when I was six years old. It was from Hallmark, and had a combination lock on it and most of the entries were along the lines of, “I like Steve he is cute”. 27 years later, this blog is very much still a journal for me, and even though the content might have changed slightly, it’s still a big part of what keeps me sane.

a “ballerina’s neck”. I’ve never heard of that. what a beautiful sentiment.
