I ‘d forgotten how much I enjoy pulling together my The Days posts. They give me a chance to look back at the time that’s past in my challenge and to see what as worked and what doesn’t. It appeals to the part of me that needs accountability and that likes to check in while my projects are in process. I’m always thinking about my challenges and how to make myself successful. And my Instagram photos are a way to highlight that forethought.
I’ve been working toward 10,000 steps a day for almost a week now. I know I’ve been more active. And I’ve hit my step-count goal the last 3 days. That feels good. I feel it in my legs. They’re not sore, but tired, for sure. And I am sleeping really hard at night. I’m taking all those as signs that I’m doing things right. That I’m being active, which is the real goal this month.
This is what The Days have held. Day 1 Today is the first of my #30days of 10,000 steps a day. And of course today is the day my Jawbone Up decides to quit syncing. | Day 2 When my kids are moving, I’m moving. We hit the playground this morning. | Day 3 So so so close. #10000steps | Day 4 Today’s step count: 10,811 thanks to some exploring in Lowes and Costco. #10000steps #yay | Day 5 I parked at the other end if the parking lot at preschool pick up. Getting these steps in wherever I can. | Day 6 I carried in my groceries one bag at a time today.

Such a worthy goal. I know I sit way too much. I’m a writer AND live in the suburbs. Two strikes against me!
