I’m going to get to my After Photo in just a sec, but first, it’s the last week of my 30 Days of Meditation. I feel kind of like I’m getting into a routine, finding the habits that make meditation possible for me: like being far far away from my computer or phone, like actually being outside, having something to focus my eyes on. Here’s how my days shaped up this week. | Day 23 Today I meditated outside, under the open sky, in the sunshine. #ilovesummer | Day 24 I did a lot of raking this afternoon looking for the meditative rhythm that I also find in my #breath. | Day 25 When #sunset is this lovely, I don’t regret sleeping through sunrise. #myquiettime | Day 26 Seeing balance everywhere these days. #lightanddark #theviewfromhere | Day 27 I’m getting lost in some of my favorite music during my meditation tonight. #wilcoworld #chicago | Day 28 I’m on the kitchen floor. I knew my meditation in bed would lead straight to sleep. I need to get my thoughts in order first. | Day 29 I think I prefer morning meditation time. It fills me up for the day ahead.
Okay, do you remember this post from earlier this month when I talked about the way people changed physically after an intensive 30 Day Meditation retreat? And do you remember how I promised you that I’d take before and after photos at the beginning and end of my 30 Days of Meditation? Well, that was before my face was ravaged by poison ivy, or something that itches and looks just like it, again.
I didn’t think a side-by-side comparison was really fair for the sake of comparing or really for my self esteem while I’m using calamine lotion so prolifically. So instead, feel free to laugh at the fact that I’m probably the only person in the world who can get poison ivy all over her face and no where else on her body. I’ve looked really hot this week at preschool pick up.
And don’t forget that you can enter to win an Apple TV, $100 iTunes gift card, and a pair of Yurbuds! Don’t miss out because these are fabulous prizes.

Annnnna oh NO!!!! I hope your face clears up soon!

Thanks, Hatton! I’m on the mend. It’s drying out and a little less itchy every day. 🙂
