This week’s photo Focus 52 photo prompt, It’s A Guy Thing, baffled me at first. I was looking around my house for manly things, and other than my husband, who is a man but typically unwilling to be photographed, my house is lacking in masculine accessories. It wasn’t until late this week when I realized I have the pinnacle of manly pursuits in my backyard: the detached garage. The two-car space is filled from concrete floor to exposed-beam ceiling with guy things. Cars, tools, engines, dirt, cables and chords, buckets of bolts and screws, old paint, welding equipment, worn out shoes, gauges, air filters, and I could go on. My camera had never been inside before, but I found endless and unexpected subjects inside. Manly images are fun.
