Sandbox Love

Remember the empty sandbox? It was just a hole beneath the playhouse waiting for some kind of attention. Well, we couldn’t very well put down wood chips and not fill the sandbox too.

Jason and I tag-teamed the sandbox lid. He cut the wood to fit the space, and I primed and painted it with chalkboard paint. So now the space doubles as a constantly changing work of art too.

The sandbox has become the first place Julia and Max go when we’re outside. They’re digging and driving trucks and playing together. These 30 Days became very kid-focused when we ran into obstacles on the patio. But the outcomes have been amazingly sweet.
