It takes a strong women to admit when she needs help. And none of us are going anywhere without support from the people around us. So I’ve compiled a list of amazing go-to resources for powerful women. From support to inspiration to proven methods to craft tutorials, there’s a little bit of everything on this growing list. It just feels perfect to finish out a month of strong women with some support for you and where ever you dream.
- The Everygirl describes itself as the “ultimate online resource helping shape the creative, career-driven woman to experience her life better lived.”
- 27 Months Without Peanut Butter. Maggie’s blog is documenting her time in Jordan with the Peace Corps. She works with young girls, providing what Psychology of Eating calls “a healthy dose of perspective and gratitude.”
- About Face strives to educate women about their portrayal in the media through “in-depth, multi-session media-literacy and body-image programs” and workshops both on and off line.
- A Mighty Girl is “The world’s largest collection of books, toys, and movies for smart, confident, and courageous girls,” and if you have daughters, this site is mandatory.
- Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls is dedicated to “help young women and the young at heart with the process of cultivating their authentic selves.”
- LeanIn.org is an extension of Sheryl Sandburg’s book of the same day. The printed text “is focused on encouraging women to pursue their ambitions, and changing the conversation from what we can’t do to what we can do. LeanIn.Org is the next chapter.”
- The Body Project is a platform for women to share their feelings, thoughts and reactions to their bodies. It’s goal is to make women feel less isolated and alone when it comes to body issues or eating disorders.
- Dames Bond‘s tag line is “When Dames Bond, Dames Thrive.” This site is all about women in business, networking, inspiring, supporting, and working toward big goals.
- The Middle Finger Project does exactly like its name implies. It flips the bird to business as usual and inspires women to step out of the box, push limits, and define new roles for themselves in business.
- Club Chica Circle‘s goal is to raise their “tween daughters to be self-confident, creative souls.” The crafts on the site are accessible and promote positive female image and strong mother-daughter relationships.
- This is Bossy might’ve just started, but our goal is to let’s focus on raising girls up and celebrating the innate character traits they possess that make them strong, powerful, opinionated and unique.
- Count Me In‘s programs help to give women who own their own businesses tools, resources, coaching, and support to help support their dreams and make them successful.
- SheRights is dedicated to raising awareness of women’s issues and news. Their mission is simple and perfect: “Women’s rights are human rights. When they are abused, disrespected or ignored, society as a whole is affected. Not just us women folk.”
- Embody Love Movement combines yoga, embodied experience, and psychodynamic therapy to teach people that they are worthy, strong, and beautiful.
