I left my last love letter on a gas pump, and it was all I could do not to hide somewhere close by and watch to see who picked it up. Seriously. The curiosity is kind of killing me. I want to know who is reading my notes, who has the courage to pick up the envelopes, and-most importantly-are they helping?
And then I have to stop. And I have to remind myself that my giddiness and inquisitiveness isn’t what is important. My own self-fulfillment is not the reason I’m leaving these notes. I want to makes someone’s day. I want to be encouraging, loving, supportive. I want to make someone’s day in a simple and unexpected way.
But here’s what else I need to remember: yes, leaving letters makes me curious, but it also makes so happy.

What a fun project! I’d be curious too, who is picking up my notes. Have you ever actually seen anyone’s reaction? I bet that would be a great blog post!

I’ve never seen anyone pick up a letter, but you’re right. For the sake of this blog I should wait and see someone at some point. Keep checking back, I’ll let you know! Thanks for the thoughts and the visit.
