I have sand between my toes and in my hair, and I couldn’t be happier about it. My family has escaped for a wonderful week away at the beach. And does the fact that we spend our yearly vacation just an hour away from our Charleston home tell you how much we love the Lowcountry’s beaches?
Charleston is on the coast, so beaches abound. Isle of Palms, Sullivans Island, and Folly Beach are regular tourist and local hangouts. Or you can drive a bit farther to places like Kiawah head or Edisto Beach, where I’m loving life this week.
So what can you do on the beach in and around Charleston?
What do you love best about Charleston’s beaches?
