Sure, I could start each morning on a treadmill and just walk until the pedometer clicked to 10,000. But where would the fun be in that. I’m trying to fit my walking in to my typical life, my every days. And my steps are taking me to places all over: Charleston’s marshes, dance parties, around random parking lots, extra laps at the grocery store, raking in February.
Here’s what my walking days have looked like.
Day 14 37 steps between my front door and the mailbox. Usually my husband gets the mail, but in these #30days I get it so it counts toward my 10,000. | Day 15 Molly dog and I totally earned some quiet snuggle time with over 12,000 steps today. | Day 16 I love love our night-time dance parties to the Motown station on Pandora. Lots of steps and family bonding. | Day 18 I would love weather like this every day forever. #10000steps#boymom | Day 19 Pushing this tank of a cart and 2 kids around the grocery store should count as extra steps. 7,000 steps already! | Day 20 Because raking counts for a kerbillion steps.#10000steps #springcleaning
What happened this week that you’re most proud of? Let’s celebrate each other’s successes.

Love the dance parties! My daughter and I have been watching Kid President videos and get super excited when he breaks out into dance

KID PRESIDENT is pretty awesome. He always makes me smile!
I am amazed you are doing 10,000 a day! Will keeps taunting me in this Fitbit walk off challenge that I started because I thought I’d win… And finally I left to go on a walk just to see what happens when I hit 10,000 - it’s tough to walk that many steps in a day without making a very conscious effort!!

It is hard, isn’t it? I find I have to keep regular check of what and how I’m doing in order to reach the goals. And by the end of the day, I’m tired! But, of course, it’s a good tired.
