Thirty: Secretary Key

These keys lock my great-great grandmother’s secretary. Since I’ve started this project, I notice that I’ve started looking at most scenes or moments in my day as a photo opportunity. So today, when I was cleaning my living room these keys stood out. The simplicity of the image is lovely and I like the history it conveys. It’s personal history, but I like it all the same.

  1. I think it's lovely you have her secretary, and the history that goes with it. Lucky, lucky, you.

  2. It is lovely. I was named for her, so it seems that everything with our shared name that comes through the family ends up with me-everything from lace from her wedding dress to party invitations in her handwriting. It's an unexpected blessing for sure.
