Self-disclosure time. Sometimes my house stinks. I admit it. I have an indoor-outdoor dog, a cat with a litter box, two kids in diapers, less-than-perfect cleaning habits (that I’m working on). But I’ve fallen in love with Febreze, especially the anti-microbial spray.
It’s started when I was pregnant the first time. To say that my sense of smell was heightened was an understatement, and it wasn’t even the awful smells that got to me. Overly perfumey smells were always too sweet, too syrupy, and made me vomit. Laundry detergent or air freshener sent me running for the bathroom. And on top of all that, the gross smells, the ones that everyone thinks are gross, were even worse. It was torture.
We tried to cover up the smells in the house that didn’t seem to bother anyone else, but because I couldn’t stand the perfume smells we didn’t have a lot of choice. Even run-of-the-mill Febreze wasn’t worth spraying on the dog’s bed. Vomit. Really. But that’s when I found the Febreze Anti-Microbial. (Insert happy sigh sound here.)
The smell isn’t overpowering or sweet, and honestly, after I spray it on my carpet or couches or dog’s bed and let it dry, I don’t smell the bad smells or the sugary sweet smell of air freshener. It makes my house neutrally stink-free.
I haven’t been paid by Febreze, and I always cuss because I can only find Febreze Anti-Microbial at Lowe’s, but it’s worth writing about because a stink-free house is a happy house.
