Meditation Day 13 | Koi Pond Escape

I am spending my afternoon right here. There’s something totally comforting about a koi pond. I sit very still and watch the fish as they swim back and forth in their pond home. There’s something very soothing about this setting. The fish swim. The water swirls, dips, and drips. The fountain bubbles. The surface ripples. Everything feels very balanced.

This is an easy moment to be in. Mindfulness is and obvious state of being.

And so I wanted to share this moment of relaxation with you. Do you remember that app that was so popular a few years ago that allowed you to watch animated koi swim around your iPhone? Trust me. This is better. These are real fish. (The very big, gold one is named Goldie Hawn.) So sit comfortably. Breathe deeply. And watch these koi swim. It is beautifully hypnotic. It’s meditative.
