“Set your intention for your practice,” says my yoga teacher. Every time. “Set your intention.”
It’s good advice, like having a plan of attack, a method of action.
I was thinking about my intentions for this month of iPhone photography, and I wanted to set my intention to know exactly what I want to photography this month. So I pulled out my pen and the back of an envelope, and I made a list.
This month is my birthday and Valentine’s Day, which happen every February. But even more exciting is that I’ll be speaking at DIY Festival, a conference put on by my local library for crafters and do-it-yourselfers. You can click here for more details. That’s on February 28, and earlier that week, I’m going to be on Lowcountry Live, a local television news show (*gasp*), to promote the festival and to show off my skills! Amazing, right? And I want a quality photographic record of both events to share with you.
You know what I realized? February is wonderfully full of all kinds of amazing things that will be fun to shoot and wonderful ways to flex my smart phone-photographing muscles.
Here’s a list of some other things I plan on shooting this month, both concepts and photography methods.
