Some days, I wish my Nikon would fit in my back pocket as well as my iPhone does. I wish I was able to pull it out the second my kids start giggling or when my dog turns my way with her big brown eyes. I wish it was as convenient to get such amazing and quality photos as simply, because, honestly these days I’m reaching for convenience first. Life is busy like that.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my camera, Dame. And I’ve explored photography behind my Nikon. I’ve taking photos of my family, my pets, my city, the sky and grass. I’ve taken pictures of myself and people and things I love. I’ve taken some amazing photos. But lately, I reach for my iPhone first. Even when it comes to my blog posts, I’m taking pictures with my phone before my Nikon, it’s just more convenient.
But I know the photos aren’t the same quality. And I know I can do better.
So for these 30 Days, I’m consciously putting the emphasis on my iPhone. As far as I’m concerned, my iPhone is my only camera this month, and I will be working to take amazing, high-quality photos with it. I’ll explore tips and techniques. I’ll share with you the accessories I’m using and how exactly I’m succeeding (or failing, because that happens too). It’s my chance to learn all I can about shooting with a different style camera, and that my my little photographer’s heart beat fast.
This will be a great month. So hang on to your hats and make sure you’re following me on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, because I’m sure that a lot of my photography and experiments will be landing there too. I’ll use #30daysiphonephoto so you can follow simply or even post your own pictures.
