Inspiration Day 1

07/01/14

I am searching for motivation and guidance and creating some of my own during these 30 Days of Inspiration. | In The Next 30 Days
Don’t get me wrong. I love the summertime. I love afternoons at the beach and the blue skies that stretch for miles. I love long days, sleeping late, lightening bugs, watermelon, evening walks, and popsicles.

But there’s also something that happens in the summer heat. When the humidity curls my hair and sticks me to my seat, when the air is still and my glass sweats almost as much as I do, something shifts. Things start to feel stagnant. Same people all day long. No real routine, nothing that has to get finished or deadline to meet. Sometimes it’s easy to feel terribly uninspired.

It’s a stilling or at least a slowing down. But in the middle of summer, it’s all I can do to maintain, let alone work toward something amazing. And I want amazing. I want memorable and awesome. I want to feel inspired.

Do you feel this way? Do you ever find yourself stalled, waiting for something to shift or change before you tackle the next big project, before you start back to making the world around you a better, brighter place?

So for these 30 Days, I’m searching for inspiration. I’m determined not to lose my grip on the things that make my heartbeat fast and my creativity flow, and I’m even more determined to further my projects, to move forward with them. I am reaching for awesome, and so determined to grab it.

I’ll share words and images that to inspire us both. Look for inspiration in unlikely places. Mine for motivation when I need it most. And I hope that my search for inspiration, helps inspire you to reach your awesome.

Let’s start right away. What inspires you?

OMG, I hit that point this week. I was feeling all on the verge of transformation, went on vacation, and now I just can’t find that passion/drive. I completely stalled out!

I find that the motivation of others is inspiring, along with beautiful objects. Also, when I have a good routine each day, I am easily inspired and easily uninspired when each day is a hodgepodge of activities.

Great sources of inspiration, Amber. I agree that seeing other people who are passionate and working toward their goals makes me feel more motivated.
