The Days No. 13 | Just Getting Started

09/13/13

I’m just getting started with my Pinterest 30 Days, and I feel like I’m starting to get the hang of it. Not of pinning. I know how to do that, but I’m getting the feel for the projects that fit my life and the projects that work for a quick burst of get-something-done. It’s an interesting way to face the obstacles in my day. I ask, “What would Pinterest say?” And usually it’s a pretty good answer.

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

Day 1 Starting #30Days of Pinterest today. Check out the blog for all the details! #imexcited | Day 4 Check out my #Pinterest inspired cleaning caddie. Think it will help me and my dirty house? | Day 5 On hold with the cable company, just pinning away. | Day 6 My coffee this morning is #bulletproof a la #pinterest. | Day 7 Yesterday’s missed #Pinterest Opportunity: I could’ve looked for a pinned #recipe, instead I went with a stand-by for a #potluck. #glutenfree | Day 8 Followed a pin for DIY CD sleeves to make the photos I’m sending out this week super special. | Day 9 “Mama, you make the best chicken fingers ever in the world.” #Pinterest for the win. #glutenfree | Day 10 It’s been a while since I drank a smoothie that wasn’t green. #pinterest recommended this one post-workout. | Day 11 I made #pinterest’s Honey Lollipops (without the sticks) to help my daughters sore throat. #supermom | Day 12 I made a beanbag tripod for my #Nikon with a soft lunch bag and a bag of rice. #pinterestinspired I course.

Tell me, what have you accomplished this week that you’re super proud of? Brag about it right here, because we’d all love to celebrate with you.

Anna, following your blog with interest this month and trying PInterest as I never have quite figured it out - love all the things on their site but so much info. Anyway, I noticed the gluten free/no refined sugars on the Banana-coconut cake today. Looks delicious! I’m anxious to try. Thought it might be a good one for your family, too.

Yay Sara! Thanks for playing along! You’re so right that Pinterest is quite overwhelming, like a tidal wave of things to do. I have to make myself focus to get things done over there, for sure. And your Banana-Coconut Cake sounds AMAZING! Please let me know how it is!

    Awesome!!

I have managed to use Pinterest every day since you started this. Now, I haven’t made anything from it yet but it’s a work in progress and honestly using daily is a huge improvement.

Go Jackie Go! I’m finding that spending more time on the site makes me feel more comfortable creating from it. Like being in a Pinterest frame-of-mind makes the projects seem more possible. Maybe? Can’t wait to see what you make!
