Today’s featured blogger is a little different. Sherisse’s Nu Re:Belle Collective is on a brief hiatus to return on September 1. But I love Sherisse’s message of beauty in uncommon places and her straight-forward manner. So click over now, bookmark her site, and then be sure to check back in September.

What Is Your Blog About?
Started as a culture curation project, The Nu Re:Belle Collective is a space created by Sherisse Rogers.
Obsessed with the beauty found in unexpected places, the blog started with “Visual Clutter: The Beauty created” – a photography series which showcases street art (The Beauty created) found in urban areas. This series sought to subvert the preconceived notion of street art as a social ill (ie the Visual clutter) by posturing that rather it could be, and is, an attempt by the artist to beautify sometimes unloved, forgotten, urban spaces, resulting in new life and interest in the area.
My passion for Street art and Photography soon extended into event photography, and writing about music and music based events, developing into a fully fledged passion for writing about all things cultural – music, art, literature and events - and general life musings in an eclectic, colorful home.
What Makes Your Blog Different?
With a humorous lilt and a narrative style, my writing is an extension of my personality – inquisitive, direct and honest. The content is varied, interesting and usually challenging and is also introspective. I’m not trying to do what everyone does to be successful I am trying to develop a legacy - a place of interest so that like minded people can be affirmed and others can be challenged to think differently and positively about what is around them.
Where Do You Blog?
Wherever I have access to a pen or paper, or any of my cameras - the bus, on lunch at work, in bed, in the living room catching up on tv, in a coffee shop - you name it I’m thinking about it.

What Do You Want The World To Know About You?
That at the end of the day I’m just a girl who is trying to make a small impact in a big world - and in the next 10 years I would love to have my own business - potentially a stationer/confectioner hybrid….
