The first light was green, and I worried the sunrise would be less than impressive. But the green sped to yellow and then fiery orange. Then the sky set its blaze to the water. I clicked my camera, each second changed the light. Each moment was different from the one before it. And it was in a single second that three dolphins broke the harbor’s surface, exhaling hard before dipping under again. In another second they were moving closer, rooting, wrestling, splashing with each other. Dorsal fins sliced the air before sliding under again. Sunrise is the most perfect moment of the day; the world is new, fresh, quiet, and brimming with anticipation. There is more beauty in of sunrise than any other part of the day. Of that I’m sure.
I have missed posting personal photographs on 30 Days. I used to shoot a weekly photograph, and now I’m not quite sure why I stopped. So I am going to try to get back into the habit of using my camera for more than just shooting DIYs. This post, and future Sunday Fun Day posts, will be linked up with the Focus 52 group on TwoScoopz.com. This week’s theme was “Sweet November.” I’m not sure if this qualifies as November specifically, but I guess it does show just how beautiful November is here in Charleston.

oh wow, these are absolutely stunning.
I agree on sunrise being such a special part of the day. Almost magical and you’ve caught that exactly.
Welcome back!
