Today I shot some pictures at Waterfront Park downtown. When I took my photography class, the teacher kept showing us pictures of amazing waterfalls he’d shot so that the water looked silky smooth. Not really living somewhere with waterfalls, I tucked his lower shutter speed advice somewhere back in my head, but I got to use it today. This is part of the famous Pineapple Fountain. When I opened my aperture up (f22), it slowed my shutter speed down, which makes the water look much softer. Check out other pictures below to see the opposite effect and different scenes from Waterfront.

love the last shot, it's perfect.
Thanks, ADoC! Charleston: where even our manhole covers are pretty! Downtown yesterday, I saw the City workers sweeping the sidewalks with palm fronds. I'd forgotten they did that. But I love it.
