I made this holiday wreath for my front door out of a length of pipe insulator and lots of colored yarn. I totally love it. It’s simple and pretty and festive without being blatant and over the top. I used a length of pipe insulation cut and taped in a wreath shape. And I wrapped it with colored yarn and hung it on the door. (Here’s the trick. wrap the yarn before you complete the circle. It makes the wrapping SO much easier.) Nothing says welcome, please come in, quite like a holiday wreath, don’t you think? I love how they’re welcoming before you even open the door. And there’s nothing quite like a homemade wreath.
When I hung mine up, I got curious about what other possible wreaths were out there, and of course I turned to Pinterest. Look what I found!

Wow so many great ideas! I love pinterest, these quirky wreaths are way better than the traditional ones in my opinion.
