These lessons are cyclical. Just like every 30 Days has a clear path, within each 30 Days I find I that return to some consistent lessons. When you fail, I told you to learn from it. And when you reach the end of your 30 Days, when you’re celebrating your success and how far you’ve come, then you should stop and look for your lessons learned.
There is always, always something to learn. In any experience, there’s some kind of takeaway, some kind of lesson. And when a 30 Day Challenge is meant to improve yourself, the lessons are everywhere.
This is the reason I reserve the last day of each month for my Lessons Learned. It’s my chance to slow down and to think about all those teachable moments, all the seconds that make all my hard work worthwhile. It’s so important to stop, reflect on the month that has passed.
And here’s what happens when I look for my lessons, I get an instant high, an immediate rush. It’s like I can see all the steps I’ve taken and exactly how far I’ve climbed. That is exhilarating and inspiring and makes me want to do it again.
It’s an over-used and crude metaphor, but change is my drug and the lessons I learn are my dealer.
This has been an important 30 Days for me. I’ve learned a lot about my processes and what works well for me and the things that I need work on in my future 30 Days.
So what have you learned in these 30 Days? And where will you go next?
