Have you noticed the pictures I’ve been using this month? I had a photoshoot in my husband’s garage. It’s usually his manly space where I only venture when I need to tell him that dinner’s ready or if he’s needed back inside. But I had so much fun opening his drawers and cabinets, shooting what was uncovered right where it sat. The grit was so natural. The dirt was almost beautiful. And the pictures fit this month perfectly, I think.
I’m giving you all of my 30 Day tools.
My husband is an awesome mechanic because of his passion, his knowledge, and because he has the right tools. In every corner of his garage his has a different tool that he needs to do a different job. His tools help make his work both easier and more effective. He has the right size wrench when he needs it. Just the right bolts to fit the screws he’s working on. Powerful cutters for when he needs something with more umph.
Working through a 30 Day challenge is like working on a car or building a house. You have to have the right tools. As you begin any challenge, ask yourself what you might need to be successful. Set yourself up for that success from the start. And remember that tools don’t have to be hammer-shaped or found in the garage. When I started my 30 Days to Eat Local, I signed up for a CSA. And when I did my No Sugar challenge, I downloaded the 21 Day Sugar Detox to serve as my guide.
So have you made resolutions to get in shape and healthier? Or are you in the middle of your on 30 Days to work out more? If so, then I want to give you some tools to help you on your way to health.
I wear a pedometer every day to track my steps. It’s an awesome tool (see what I did there?), and I love the real-life feedback I get about how many steps I take and how many calories I burn each day. I know that when I check and track my activity, then I’m more likely to be more active. That’s why I’m making my February challenge to take 10,000 steps a day. And if I could enter this giveaway I totally would.

i would say that i am my biggest roadblock.
Oooo! Great giveaway! I wish I’d worn a podometer at Disney - i’d love to know how many miles we walked!!

Making the time to workout is my biggest challenge. It is so easy to get side-tracked by other things that I need to get done.
I’ve been good about not mindlessly snacking at work except I slacked off yesterday. I’m determined not to let it be the cause of my down slide 🙂

I’m in a really good place with my workouts right now. I’m working out often, hard and feeling good. I try different things to keep myself interested, and my best tip for working out is to do it with friends!
My biggest roadblock is eating healthily on busy days!
Since starting Crossfit, I have very little in the way of obstacles, so my biggest motivator is the friends and community at my gym.

I have been working out regularly and eating better for four months now (and lost 21 pounds so far!), but my workouts are hampered by childcare and the weather. The snow and freezing rain have kept me from my daily walk (with my son to and from school), and my three-year-old doesn’t give me the flexibility to do whatever I want. I really don’t want to backslide for three months (or more!) every year.
Yes, I’m definitely going to make this a more fit year! Instead of bouncing around between different workout routines, I’m sticking to TurboFire for the next 90 Days (that counts as 30, right!??!)! On top of that, my nutrition will be covered with Shakeology while definitely making wiser choices during my regular meals. I’ll be taking some others along the way with me too and doing some short challenges to keep my circle of friends motivated. I would love to get a FitBit… I actually don’t know why I don’t have one yet!
I am my own biggest road block, however I’ve found using social media helps keep me going!
I need some willpower and someone to help me get excited about working out again.
I’d say I am my own biggest roadblock. I am not good at keeping an exercise routine and always make excuses as to why I can’t take time out of my day to work out. I know I need to, I just need to get motivated!

Chronic back pain is the biggest block to exercise that I have right now.
My biggest roadblock is fibromyalgia and space. I’m working around both of them by doing workouts that don’t require as much space to get them done (yoga, low impact aerobics) and that are not high impact so they don’t trigger fibro episodes (yoga, walking, short bursts of jogging, low impact aerobics, dietary changes)

Start-off the exercising - every single time. I absolutely have no problem with the rest of it, just that I need more than a push. A shovel is MUCH better and it’s difficult to do that by MYSELF. Shame.

Thanks, Anna, for another great give away!
I am just getting the clear from my oncologist to start really working out and I think I am scared. I guess I am worried that I will injure myself since I am no where stronger as I use to be. I do recognize that I must get started!

My biggest roadblock is time — I have two little kids who still need me a lot. But I’m hoping that will keep getting easier even this year.
My biggest road block is getting motivated to hit the gym when it’s cold. The parking, etc-it all seems insurmountable sometimes!

My biggest roadblock is my lack of motivation.
NUTRITION is my biggest road block for my fitness goals!!

My BFF helps me to stay motivated even though we live across the US from each other. Daily texts of successes and failures, FaceTime, and pictures of meals help keep us on track!
i would have to say my biggest barrier is that I lack motivation. I know in my head I should exercise more, and eat healthier but I just have a hard time staying motivated to do it.
I am probably my biggest roadblock. I don’t have a lot of confidence, and I psych myself out before I even get started.
Biggest blocker is time!
Cold/bad weather is my obstacle. If I have a clear goal though I’m pretty self-motivated.
My biggest roadblock is procrastination. It is especially bad during the four coldest months of the year. I prefer to excersise outdoors, but absolutely hate cold weather. Need someone to partner with that will motivate me:-)
I would say my biggest road block is not getting in a rut. I tend to find a form of exercise I like (say a particular class) and stick with it. This can cause me to plateau from time to time.

biggest roadblock… motivation in the winter!
It’s definitely a tie between staying motivated and finding the time to workout. I have agym membership, but getting there is always the battle.

My biggest roadblock is motivation. I can’t ever find motivation to work out on my own.
I think my biggest few roadblocks are cold weather and lack of areas where I feel safe to be out exercising (walking/biking) alone.
