Have you seen those coupon shows where families have stockpiles of salad dressing that could last for years in their garages and hidden under the kids’ beds? And then they check out at the grocery store with three carts piled high with mountains of deodorant or yogurt. It’s amazing really, to save so much money with something a simple a clipping coupons.
It’s not the stockpiles that appeal to me. I don’t have the space, and I just don’t see the point of being the proud owner of so many boxes of cereal or bottles of shampoo. But what does appeal to me are the savings and the money I can stockpile clipping coupons and checking sales at my grocery store.
So this month, I’m going to learn how to coupon effectively and efficiently. I am going to work to save some money at my local Publix (were I shop). I’ll share what I find and let you know if the coupon clipping is worth the time and effort. And I’ll let you know if the hoarders are onto something.
